Hello. I am Amber Au. I am a picture book author illustrator. 

 

I have been chosen to participate in Bologna Children's Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition 2024 and The Unpublished Picture Book Showcase 5. My illustrations were exhibited at Psychology and Mental Health Fair and displayed as huge window stickers for corporate in Hong Kong. 

​

Fighting an eating disorder was the starting point of my career. Creating food characters, children illustration and heart-warming stories has become my passion. I have been illustrating  since 2018 and my clients included travel agency, restaurants, non-profit organisations, corporate and local independent businesses.

​

When I am not drawing or doodling, you can find me wandering in grocery store, communicating with fresh produces (or pastries).

I am a member of Association of Illustrator. I completed a Children’s Book Illustration Course in Nottingham Trent University and Picture Book Course from The Good Ship Illustration. If you want to know more about me, I have  a publication, The Pencil Bakery, on Substack where I share my illustration progress, thoughts, affirmative quote and....sometimes, mouth-watering recipes. I also run an online shop - Draw.it.Au where I sell my art prints and products.
